Provide a summary of the concept, how it works/could work, and why it could be successful
It is an app that helps the public order a pick-up for their non-cash donations to be distributed to low-income families, this will work because the majority of people want to feel like they are part of something big no matter how small their contribution may be; therefor makes them feel better about themselves according to studies in the US and EU that proved the same results.
Explain briefly the specific problem(s) you are trying to solve, and how your solution impacts or will impact the region
To lower poverty rates as much as possible, and to hopefully be able to provide lowincome families with better employment opportunities and financial stability than before. And to engage individuals within their communities to give more, and to be part of change.
Geographical Scope: where is the innovation currently operating/where would it first be applied and where would it scale?
The first phase: geographical division Amman -Demographic: Patients aged 6 to 40 years / physical condition from average to high-In terms of financial capacity of the people, this section will be divided into the areas that
will be targeted are the middle and poorer areas of society in order to be the supporters of
Phase 2: This section will attract managers in terms of geography so that the focus of the target to benefit from the project to be sold at a profit suitable for the market to reinvest itself and supports the first phase
Please state the current status of your initiative
Beneficiaries: Explain who would benefit from this solution and indicate whether you would be working with a local partner or organization to implement (if so,specify)
Low-income families who are registered with local CSOs in their communities, and yes we will be partnering with specific CSOs who are knows to be trustworthy and have a very detailed database of those low-income families and individuals.
Describe the scalability and innovation elements of your initiative
This app could be used almost anywhere around the world as long as there is some kind of technological foundation to support applications.
Please state your innovation sponsor (if applicable)
Middle East University is a partner, as they helped build the business model and all of its supporting elements. And they will be incubating the project as soon as it starts implementation.
What are your key resources at this stage and what resources would you need to implement/scale?
Our key resources would be the data from CSOs and of course the DOS – Department of Statistics in Jordan to help us determine areas of extreme poverty and how we can be of service to them.
What are your key challenges and risks at this stage?
That allot of people don’t trust CSOs in Jordan for good reason; because out of 6185 local Jordanian CSOs, only a handful are trustworthy. So we will build their trust in us as a team and individuals, and then as a social enterprise.
What are your goals and timeline?
(Get sponsors for the project, 6 months) (Build a strong database of trusted CSOs, 1 year) (Successful application usage and traffic, 2-3 years of implementation)
Why should this innovation be selected?
Because when people give more, they are more likely to feel better about themselves as humans, and therefore will increase their personal and social values which will inflect change upon the mindset of the community. This will help them engage more in their society rather than through their “social media accounts”.
